There's a lot of question's out there. Truth is, we only found out this afternoon about the schools being closed. Two main priorities are 1) food service and 2) teachers creating a viable means of providing education over the next couple of months. During this process we will be establishing schedules, protocol's, procedures, and a lot of information concerning things like; chromebooks, personal items, grades, expectations, and things we haven't even thought of yet.We will work on a process that best serves the child and you the parent through this process. Monday we will have staff back in the buildings. At that time we will begin our staff planning and will be better prepared to field the questions that coincide with a major event such as this. Thank you for understanding.

USD 398 2019-2020 School Year Update:
As indicated in the announcement today by Governor Kelly, the traditional educational process will be suspended for the remainder of the year. USD 398, like all districts in the state, will be moving to a Continuous Learning arrangement that will incorporate technology, online learning, face-to-face opportunities, and even packet lessons for the rest of the year.
All spring activities on the calendar have been cancelled. The KSHSAA has cancelled all spring activities for the remainder of this year. There will be no activities, programs, prom, graduation, etc, in order to avoid social gathering and transmission of the virus.
Teachers, administration, secretaries, and custodians will be reporting to their buildings on Monday to begin their planning for the implementation of this transition in this district’s educational process, and address building needs.
More information will be disclosed in the upcoming weeks as it applies to a variety of issues and plans concerning students completing the 2019-20 school year. Also, currently the district is in the process of getting a waiver approved so that we can provide meals to students in our district during this time of closure. The delivery of this service is currently in the planning stage. Continue to check the district web site and Facebook site.
As stated before, everyone can do their part by practicing good hygiene, constantly washing your hands, and practicing social distancing practices. Minimizing contact is the key to slowing the spread of this virus so that it does not overwhelm our healthcare system and its ability to provide proper services to everyone.
We are in this as a community, as a State, and as a Nation!

PBHS Update: There will be NO baseball or softball practice during spring break.
