We're learning how to write 5-paragraph essays with a fall theme and practicing cursive with wickistix in Mrs. Kyle's 6th grade Language Arts class. There's been so much improvement in our writing skills this year!!

Peabody-Burns Elementary School Physical Education classes had a special guest today, Nurse Adams. Nurse Adams happens to be Mrs. Wiebe's mother who is in health care. Today, our k-5 classes learned a little about how the body works through a live demonstration. Outstanding things going on here at USD #398!

Lace up those sneakers! Kindergarten through 2nd grade Basketball Camp is right around the corner!

Grace Med will be in our district providing free dental screenings to all of our students. Students will be screened unless an opt out form is signed and returned to the school. Opt out forms have been sent home, extras are available in both school offices. Contact April Wedel with questions.

On Friday, Nurse Wedel led a training for our staff in CPR. She does an outstanding job of teaching this class by giving the tools needed to feel comfortable in any emergency situation and making the training a fun and enjoyable experience. Thank you Nurse Wedel for helping to keep our school community safe and healthy!

As part of the Petal It Forward initiative by the Society of American Florists, Warrior Soil (Peabody-Burns Greenhouse and Gardens) and its amazing students went out into the community today to give a little joy. Students prepared and delivered bouquets to the residents of Peabody Health and Rehab and gave out pairs of bouquets downtown and in several businesses (one to keep and one to give away).

The PTO is trying a new fun fundraiser. Collect your lose change and send it up to the school, let's see which class wins. Help the kids turn Mr. Schafer into an ice cream sundae.

Go Warriors!

A few teachers got in on the fun and told us why they applied to college!
